International Media Centre, Stratford

GBE Converge were appointed to complete the installation within the 12 units which made up the International Media Centre at the Olympic Park Stratford. The building was used by the world’s media for the reporting and broadcasting throughout the 2012 Olympic Games.

This was a project with a very tight programme where design was an on-going feature throughout, with the constantly changing media requirements. Continual monitoring was required to ensure regulations were complied with.

We succeeded in the delivery and certification of all 12 units on the agreed handover dates, all the systems were 100% witnessed to the client and consultant.

On-site training was provided to the customer and a full set of O & M manuals were provided, included in this were as-wired drawings, schematics and record drawings.

GBE Converge operatives attended all tool box talks and health & safety meetings whilst on site.  The project did not have a single incident or complaint reported.
