GBE Converge was awarded the contract by Interserve Engineering Services to design, supply, install and commission all life safety and security systems to the redevelopment of 24 King William Street in the City of London.
The 70,000 sq ft office and retail building which was originally built in the 1990’s compromises of office accommodation over nine floors and four retail units at ground floor. The building was stripped back to its structural frame and two additional floors were added that incorporate a new thermally efficient façade with new glazing.
GBE Converge worked with partners GENT for all fire detection and alarm control equipment, Baldwin Boxall for disabled refuge and WC alarm, HIK Vision for CCTV, Fermax for the intercom system, Honeywell Security provided the intruder system and Simons Voss for access control.
The main contractor on the project was VolkerFitzpatrick.
