Description

To manage any nominated project from Tender review handover with the sales team on to pre-construction followed by contract review and sign off to Final Commissioning and handover to the client. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, adherence to statutory regulations, client expectations with all commitments and goals achieved.

Key tasks & Experience

  • lead the planning and implementation of the project
  • To establish the clients requirements
  • facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements and plan and schedule project timelines as well as tracking project deliverables using appropriate
  • Develop & produce full scale project design & plan, CAD, on Life safety & Security & any other integrated building systems as specified. Ensuring all compliant with latest technical & regulatory requirements (i.e.EN, BS, HTM) with BAFE/Nacoss/NSI codes of practice.
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff as well as installation & commissioning activities carried out in a controlled manner and in accordance with the company’s documented procedures. To act as the focal point in all matters of design &
  • To ensure adherence to all client contracts as well as the agreed specifications issued including but not definitive, Building control requirements, Fire officers’ fire risk assessments
  • To take full responsibility for the Health & safety on the project including regular reporting, organising toolbox talks etc and attending clients Health & Safety site meetings.
  • Manage the life cycle project budget throughout with monthly cost control and prepare monthly applications to the client in line with project cost. Reporting back to your Contracts
  • Prepare and send monthly progress reports to the client, as well as any requested reports back to your Contracts
  • manage on a daily basis the project resource allocation to ensure progress and attendance.

Education and Experience

  • qualification in project management or equivalent with experience on managing Life safety systems as well as security, CCTV, INTRUDER, DATA, in line with British & European
  • Conversant with the products and systems specified and conversant in respect of new technologies as well as technical and regulatory
  • Knowledge of all applicable quality systems (ISO9001, SSQS101, FSQS121 etc)
  • knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • direct work experience in project management capacity
  • proven experience in people management
  • proven experience in strategic planning
  • proven experience in risk management
  • proven experience in change management
  • proficient in project management software
